EDF's purchases are split into 5 main purchasing areas: Generation-Engineering, Distribution-Customers, Corporate - Service Providing, Information Technologies - Telecoms and Works-Distribution, in addition to purchases of raw materials procurement (nuclear fuel and fossil energy) and energy procurement on behalf of third parties conducted on the European wholesale market.
